Parkside offers full-day inclusion classes in collaboration with Pine Grove Country Day School. SCIS classes include approximately 18 students, six to eight of whom have special needs.

The classrooms are staffed by a combination of Parkside Preschool and Pine Grove teachers and assistants and are supported by The Arc Mid-Hudson Preschool’s related service providers (i.e., therapists).  Students enrolled in the SCIS classes must be admitted by both Parkside Preschool and Pine Grove’s Admissions staff. The SCIS model follows a typical developmental curriculum, with activities designed to promote skill development across all primary skill domains. Within this model, Parkside staff modify the Pine Grove’s curriculum to meet the specific needs of each student in the class.
